Food For Thought

What if..

I imagined how food DOESN’T grow?

What if I came up with ideas so outrageous that they inspired people to ask the questions about their food?

I used 7 years of farming experience and my inner 12 year old to invent the quirky ways that food definitely doesn’t grow

  1. prepared

  2. pre-assembled

  3. and ready to eat!

That might give us some food for thought

what if corn chips and nacho cheese grew in the desert?

snacks had a wild origin

and fast food described how easy it was to harvest

About Food For Thought

Making this project was an incredibly fun exercise in imagination.

I loved the opportunity to partner with Carla Buerkle, one of my favorite stylists in Houston, TX to work to complete two of the three shoots it took to create all of these images.

The engineering, problem solving, and sheer volume of soil, and plants we lugged in and out of the studio was staggering, and a great work out, mentally and physically!

Food for thought is only the beginning in this process of bringing more imagination, delight, curiosity to my work, and i’m so excited to share it with you.
